Zambia · Zambia
Discover the meeting point of rivers, countries and cultures at one of Southern Africa's most fascinating gateways.
Overview
Kazungula is where the Zambezi and Chobe rivers meet and where Zambia's border sits within sight of Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe. The modern road and rail bridge over the Zambezi has made it one of the most important crossings in the region.
For travellers it is both a fascinating place in its own right and the practical gateway to cross-border experiences such as a day in Chobe National Park.
Kazungula lies south-west of Livingstone in Zambia's Southern Province, at the confluence of the Zambezi and Chobe rivers near the meeting point of Zambia, Botswana, Namibia and Zimbabwe.
